Hey y'all...

Call me Gem or Gemmy. It's a nickname given to me by someone from the online world, and it's stuck. I'm nineteen, from Canada, and have just finished my first year of an undergrad program in law. I haven't decided whether or not I'll pursue law school yet, but I'm definitely going to wind up in that field at the very least.

I'm a homebody and at my most happiest when I'm curled up on my bed with a good book or a good TV show. I love 80s music and eat too much chocolate. I work part-time in a grocery store and I don't use the word 'friend' lightly. I absolutely cannot bring myself to get Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace, but I love LiveJournal. I have an obsessive-compulsive need to break down empty boxes. I only recently got my level one drivers' license, which means I can't drive unless someone's in the car with me until I get to level two. In the meantime, I spend half my life on public transit.
